This policy explains how Sheffield Fencing (“we”, “us”) collects and uses your personal information when you use this website or contact us. We are the data controller for this information.

- Quote and contact enquiries: your name, phone number, email address (optional), postcode, the type and size of fence you need, any message you write, and any photo you choose to upload.
- Calls and WhatsApp messages: if you contact us by phone or WhatsApp, we receive your number and anything you send us.
- Website analytics (only if you accept cookies): pages visited, how you found the site, device and browser type, and approximate location. This is collected by Google Analytics and does not identify you by name.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, arrange a visit and give you a quote.
- To carry out and follow up on work you ask us to do.
- To keep our website secure and free from spam.
- To understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it (only with your consent).
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have asked us to.

- Taking steps at your request before entering a contract – when you ask us for a quote.
- Legitimate interests – keeping our records and protecting the website from spam and abuse.

Who we share it with
We only share information with services that help us run this website, and only as needed:
- Our website host, which stores enquiries securely.
- Google – Google Analytics (if you accept cookies), Google reCAPTCHA (to block spam on our forms), Google Maps (on our Contact page) and YouTube (only when you press play on a video).
- WhatsApp (Meta) – only if you choose to message us on WhatsApp.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use legally approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
Cookies
We only use analytics cookies if you click Accept on our cookie banner. If you click Reject, no analytics cookies are set. Google reCAPTCHA, which protects our quote form, may set cookies needed for security. To change your choice, clear this website’s data in your browser settings and the banner will appear again.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted after 24 months.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, please contact us.
